I started my career as a journalist covering human interest stories, cops and courts, business, government, environmental and investigative reporting. I also shot photos and video, created graphics and visuals, created social media posts, copy edited, tracked reader engagement metrics, and designed print and digital pages.
Long-term, I am looking to contribute my storytelling and editing skills to a unique organization that aligns with my ethos.
Recent writing projects
Technical & Proposal Writing
Right now I work as a proposal & technical writer and my role centers around condensing highly technical and lengthy sales, technology, and software reports into approachable, accessible content tailored for government and healthcare clients. I design, edit, and publish the proposals while tracking new opportunities and I am also a part of the marketing team, for which I write varying promotional content for a number of digital platforms.
Brand & Personal Writing
I’ve created my own voice and messaging for side jobs and personal projects: working in senior care and housekeeping, starting my own book review column, and starting my own blog examining the representation of women and marginalized people in movies. I created each of these from the ground up and the first step for each was creating a unique voice to showcase my value to potential readers and customers.
